The main Line in '49

In 1949 my Uncle Duckie fresh out of the service made a trip from Boston to the Northwest. He had a camera and took many pictures. Years later, knowing I liked trains, gave me several pictures from the trip. Thus began my life long interest in the Great Northern Railway. There were no captions provided, so for the most part none are provided here. I have added a few slides from my own collection and eBay to fill out this look at the Mainline at mid-century.
