Built Passenger Trains

Empire Builder    Fast Mail         International          Continental Ltd

This ten car train is lettered for the Empire Builder with Central Valley trucks and Kadee couplers.  This train was built in 1970 before I knew better.  Thus the car types are correct but the consist and car names are incorrect for the Empire Builder.  The kits for several of these cars were made from GN plans and are no longer available except in costly brass. Also included, but not installed is a correct Tomar lighted Empire Builder drumhead to replace the decal drumhead now on the observation.

This train was built to run behind a glossy green boiler S-2 Northern.

Kit assembly is not the best, but acceptable for the era. The paint job is not the finest example of the painters art!  Some of the glazing also needs to be replaced.  Some need a bit of work and the set is definitely not pristine.  These are sold as is, so take a close look.
