In 1919, Great Northern, under USRA control received four USRA heavy Mikados numbers 3200-3203. The next year, it received five additional copies from the El Paso and Southwestern railroad which found them too heavy for their bridges. These engines spent their time on Lines East and their final years on the Iron range.

I bought this model from Caboose Hobbies in 2009 intending to add a GN headlight and repaint with a graphite smokebox and green boiler.  It was listed as being imported by Oriental Limited, but has no markings. It has a diecast boiler, little wheel wear and runs pretty good.
