Kettle Valley Passenger Train - unpainted

The Canadian Pacific controlled Kettle Valley Railroad ran across the mountains and valleys of Southern British Columbia forming part of CPR second mainline from Medicine Hat, Alberta to Vancouver. It passed through stunning mountain scenery, with sharp curves, steep grades, spidery trestles, and rock blasted tunnels.  CPR's inability to keep open Coquihalla Pass open in winter lead to the line's demise in 1957.  Its primary passenger trains, numbers 11 and 12 were known as the Kettle Valley Express westbound and the Kootanai Express eastbound.

In the 1960 CPR telegrapher and model Railroader Gib Kennedy wrote an article in Model railroader about scratch building a five car Kettle Valley Express. In 1977, PFM/VH imported this five car set in based on the plans in the article.  This set was built by Kumata, and is in mint condition but without trucks or couplers.  Included is the factory glazing that has not been installed.
