GN E-6 #925

  GN E-6 #925

In 1902 GN received from Rogers a group of fifteen Ten Wheelers intended for primarily local freight service. They were designated E-6, numbers 925-939, had 63" drivers, 210# boiler pressure and a tractive effort of 25,330#.  Most were assigned to the eastern end of the system. Some were not retired until after the Second World War.

This PFM/United model has a lot of detail and the headlight worked with diodes. The bulb should be changed.  Another flaw is that the screen covering the stack is missing.  The 'coal' in the tender is a a bit of foam that is not glued down. Smooth runner, has original motor and gearbox and has had some running but the wheel plating is intact. The tender is factory drilled for sound. It has a decent paint job with medium/heavy weathering.

Original box and foam.
